A free, ten-week devotional for women with loved ones who struggle with addiction.
Introducing new author, Kara.
"Autumn shows us how beautiful it is to let things go." -Unknown
Letting go is hard! But to survive the tumultuous perils of addiction, we must learn what it means to "let go" and cling to Jesus.
Letting Go and Holding On
“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.” – Isaiah 43:2
Letting Go in Heartache
"From the ends of the earth, I cry to you for help when my heart is overwhelmed. Lead me to the towering rock of safety, for you are my safe refuge, A fortress where my enemies cannot reach me. Let me live forever in your sanctuary, safe beneath the shelter of your wings." -Psalm 61:2-4
Letting Go of Guilt
“I loved you at your darkest.” – Romans 5:8
Letting Go of Inner Doubt
“Perhaps this is the moment for which you have been created.” – Esther 4:14
Letting Go of Worry
“She is clothed in strength and dignity and she laughs without fear of the future.” – Proverbs 31:25
Letting Go of Anger
“Be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger.” – James 1:9
Letting Go in Joy
“The pain you’ve been feeling can’t compare to the joy that’s coming.” – Romans 8:18
Letting Go in Waiting
“And so it was… that she, having waited long and endured patiently realized and obtained what God had promised.” – Hebrews 6:15
Letting Go for Forgiveness
“Forgive them even if they are not sorry.” – Mark 11:25
Letting Go and Trusting God
“Those who plant in tears will harvest with shouts of joy.” - Psalm 126:5
How much time will the devotional require?
Not long! Once a week, you'll recieve an email from Kara to your inbox for you to read at your own leisure.
I have never done an online devotional before, what is it exactly?
Kara will send a lesson each week based on Biblical principles for you to apply in your daily life. Devotionals are a great way to learn how to apply God's Word to your hard seasons.
I find a lot of Christian teachings don't apply to my situation. Is this going to be another one of them?
No! The purpose of Grey Ministries is to make a safe place for women with loved ones with addictions. We understand exactly how hard it is to apply Christian principles and love someone struggling with addictions as Jesus instructed us to. There is no condemnation here, only encouragement.
What if I have questions or need help with something?
I highly encourage joining the "Colour Me Happy" Community [http://bit.ly/colourgroup] to ask questions and be supported on your journey. You can also email me directly at firstname.lastname@example.org and I'll respond as quickly as I'm able.
Is the, "Colour Me Happy" Community actually private?
Yes! It's 100% private. No one from your personal Facebook account will be able to see what you post, like or share.
